Radical Expands in the Middle East
31st October 2008
Radical Sportscars has appointed a new distributor, to be based in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The new franchise, to be known as Radical Saudi Arabia, is to be headed by the HRH Prince Abdul-Aziz bin Turki Al Faisal.
A new showroom is being organised in central Riyadh, while a comprehensive workshop facility is also being prepared in the city. A new race series, the Radical Saudi Arabia Cup, is to be based at the prestigious Reem International Circuit, located outside the capital.
Radical's new distributor will work closely with neighbouring Dubai distributor, Gulfsport Racing, organiser of the 'Gulf Radical Cup' which started it's third season last weekend at the Dubai Autodrome.
Radical co-founder Mick Hyde and Sales Director Nick Dove visited Saudi Arabia last week for the launch of the new Reem International Circuit. Mick was understandably pleased at the new appointment. "We are extremely pleased to have the support of HRH Prince Abdul-Aziz as our new Saudi Arabian distributor. To have someone of such standing actively involved with us in this large and discerning market is extremely gratifying.
The Middle East is a large market for performance cars and with new circuits coming on stream throughout the area, Radical are now poised to take advantage of the surge in interest in circuit driving and racing."
