Pole position for Radical in Namibe street race
15th April 2009
Namibe plays host to a regular race series for sports and GT cars. The car of choice has become the Radical, which now dominates the series. The circuit, which incorporates several city streets and a coastal road, is varied and fast. Obstacles include sand on the circuit, the Atlantic Ocean as a run-off and inconveniently positioned lamp posts.
The driver of SR3 number 22 (above) walked away from this encounter without a scratch, which is more than can be said for the lamp post!
Six Radicals currently compete in the series with several more expected to join in the near future.
