Radical Announces 2011 Championships With MSVR

22nd October 2010

Radical Sportscars today announces details of its 2011 domestic championships, in an exciting move that sees the Competition Car Insurance Radical UK Cup and Quaife Radical Clubman’s Cup switch to Motor Sport Vision Racing (MSVR) for the coming season.

In a move that will benefit Radical competitors and their sponsors, Radical will visit the UK’s top circuits as part of an expanded, eight-round season, with every event televised through the new, more sponsor-friendly Radical TV.

Radical will be accompanied by the MINI Challenge in the move, to join a formidable line-up of MSVR championships and trophies that also includes the Lotus on Track Elise Trophy and GT Cup, amongst others. The Shell Racing Solutions Radical Masters, Radical’s pan-European race series, will also join the CCI Radical UK Cup at the Silverstone Arena, Brands Hatch GP and Spa-Francorchamps events, with up to 60 cars expected on the grid. Longstanding tyre supplier Dunlop will continue to support the two series, with other series partners to be announced in due course.

Both Radical series will benefit from televised race footage of every round, streamed through the Radical TV on-demand web portal within days of the event. Filmed in a pioneering documentary-style format, the coverage will focus closely on the personalities, teams and sponsors of the two series, actively promoting competitors and their sponsorship partners. This format was successfully piloted at the Silverstone round of the CCI Radical UK Cup this year; click here to view the programme.

“Like Radical, MSVR are very customer-focused. We want to provide all our customers with fast, safe cars, a great national calendar visiting the best British circuits, sponsor-friendly marketing, competitive entry fees and factory technical support,” said Radical co-founder, Mick Hyde. “This positive move to MSVR will help us achieve this aim, and enable Radical’s domestic series’ to continue to prosper and grow.”
